Crossings
In Crossings, a group of international women peacemakers sets out on a risky journey across the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, calling for an end to a 70-year war that has divided the Korean peninsula and its people. Comprised of Nobel Peace Laureates, including Mairead Maguire, and activists like Christine Ahn, the intrepid team faces daunting military and political challenges as they forge a path with their Korean sisters toward peace and reconciliation.

다큐멘터리 Crossings은 국제 여성 평화 운동가 그룹이 한반도와 그 국민을 분열시킨 70년 전쟁의 종식을 요구하며 남북한 사이의 비무장 지대를 가로지르는 험난한 여정이 시작되는 모습이 담겨있다. 노벨 평화상 수상자 메어리드 코리건 매과이어(Mairead Maguire), 저명한 활동가 크리스틴 안(Christine Ahn)을 포함한 활동가로 구성된 이 담대한 팀은 한국 자매들과 함께 평화와 화해를 향한 길을 개척하면서 어려운 군사적, 정치적 도전에 직면한다.

A Veteran’s Day Out
A Veteran’s Day Out tells the story of Brian, an elderly British soldier who participated in the Korean War, sharing his memories and pains of the war with new people. Brian visits New Malden at the invitation of the London Korean Hankyoreh School. This school is where children with South and North Korean parents are raised together in a community. There Brian talks with children from South and North Korea and lays flowers for all those wounded by the war. Between people who used to be enemies once, there is communication, consolation and a uplifting message of peace and reconciliation for new generations.
노병의 외출
‘노병의 외출’은 6.25전쟁에 참전했던 영국 노인 브라이언이 전쟁의 기억과 아픔을 나누며 새로운 만남을 이어가는 내용을 그린다. 브라이언은 런던한겨레학교의 초청으로 뉴몰든을 방문한다. 런던한겨례학교는 남한과 북한의 부모를 둔 아이들이 뒤섞여 한 공동체를 이루고 있는 학교다. 그곳에서 브라이언은 남북 어린이들과 이야기를 나누고 전쟁으로 상처 입은 모든 이들을 위해 함께 헌화한다. 한때 적이었던 사람들 사이의 소통과 위로, 새로운 세대에게 물려줄 평화와 화해의 메시지가 담겨있다.
